A little of our history:
The couch was formed in 1999 and moved to Starchat in April 2004 with the hope that we could set up a warm friendly room for people to chat in. We hope you feel at home in #the_couch and feel apart of our little group.
There is AWLAYS a visitors chair and, if you so choose, please feel free to make #the_couch your chat home.
Beginners are most welcome, it is a daunting task trying to learn the art of IRC ( internet relay chat) and typing at the same time! Many rooms move so fast it is hard to keep up. We move at a slower pace so dont feel bad if you are not a quick typist.
Feel free to ask any Irc questions to our 'ops'. (They are the people wearing the @ infront of their nicks.) They will be only too happy to help you out if they can.
